I have just taken delivery of three Koa Tenor Ukuleles from my friends at Aiersi Guitars. I needed three for a project so I could have three different tunings/configurations. These are very well made, they look lovely and the necks in particular are smooth and solid. They are quite shallow bodied so they are delicate in sound but do lack the kind of resonance you’d get from a top (deep bodied) Hawaiian instrument (or even from Kalas) but they will record well because they have a gentle, light and even tone. All the instruments I have from Aiersi are excellent – I have many. I do wish that they’d make deeper bodied Tenor Ukes though……they’re harder to ship(!) but hey, they sound sooo good!
